Star Trail, Sequel To Realms Of Arkania Announced By Crafty Studios Gamer

2 minutes read

Realms Of Arkania was a classic role-playing game that brought back old-school tabletop gameplay to your PC back in 1992. The game was then updated, remade and re-released on Steam in 2013, with Blade Of Destiny being the first title in the series. Now, UIG Entertainment is back and has announced the next game in the series, Star Trail.

Take a look at the new trailer for Star Trail that I provided down below, uploaded by developers Crafty Studios.

The new remake of Star Trail was announced in Liezen, Austria on November 5th by UIG Entertainment, saying that they will be closely working with Indie developer Crafty Studios to develop the next title in the Realms Of Arkania series. The series will have a total of three games to finish the story and make it a trilogy, with Star Trail being the second installment in the series. Crafty Studios was also behind the original game, Blade Of Destiny.

The gameplay for Blade Of Destiny was very similar to Mount And Blade or the Elder Scroll games when you walked around town or traveled to another area on the world map, while combat is like a classic role-playing board game. Your characters stand on the board with a grid to show where you can move each character. Once you move your characters within attack range, you then point and click to attack your targets. The combat is turned based and focuses on team work and strategy elements. I provided a video below that was uploaded by YouTuber Tero Toivonen, showcasing gameplay footage of Blade Of Destiny so that you can see the game in action and what you can expect out of the new title Star Trail.

The new Realms OF Arkania: Star Trail, will offer up to 80 hours of gameplay, classic turn based combat, and a wide variety of quests and locations. The Gold Edition will also include an add-on pack with additional content, enhancements and new features. Producer Bernhard Kasch says-

The developers are looking to release the game during the 3rd quarter of 2016. For more information about Realm Of Arkania: Star Trail you can click on the provided link and visit the official UIG Entertainment website.
