Project CARS Delayed For Wii U To 2015 Gamer

A furor broke loose over the news when Bandai Namco made a vague comment about the release schedule for . The game will arrive this Novemeber, as scheduled, for PC, Xbox One and PS4. The Wii U won’t make the cut. This was described in the Tweet by the public relations rep Lee Kirton.

Thankfully, gamers weren’t down with this bull-crap and decided to goad Kirton into further expositing the means in which Bandai Namco decided to screw over Wii U owners. All he had to say was…

This kind of PR nonsense carried over into a Eurogamer article where Bandai Namco sent out a slightly more detailed response, it was still bullcrap nonetheless…

Bull….. crap.

was first made for PC and Wii U. It had an entire year-head-start on the PS4 and Xbox One versions. Yet it’s the one getting bumped? The game was also already up and running on Nintendo’s platform, clocking in – at the time – at 720p and 30fps, consistently. And that was when Slightly Mad Studios only had it running on one of the Wii U’s processing cores.

The thing that makes this such a spit in the face of gamers is because was funded by gamers! That’s right, the game was crowd-sourced. It wasn’t an AAA studio production; it wasn’t made by EA or Ubisoft or Activision.

Gamers paid for the production and development of the game with the dollar bills out of their own pockets; and they also wanted, more than anything, for the game to appear on the Wii U and PC, as it was deemed on the official Project CARS website poll.

So essentially, Bandai Namco stepped in to distribute the game, and at the same time held up a righteous middle-finger to the people who paid to get the game developed. It’s such a BS maneuver because if you don’t support the game, they’ll say that gamers just didn’t want . But if you do support the game, you’re supporting market fixing by the same dastardly group that caused many of us to turn to the indie scene in the first place.

The best thing to do is keep your voices heard and keep pelting Bandai Namco Games with incitement to provide a more thorough answer regarding the delay.

Gamers can definitely speak up because this kind of crap shouldn’t be allowed to take place in the way that it does.
